Position Summary

The Epic & IS Applications, Trainer II reports directly to the Training Manager, Epic & IS Applications. This position is responsible for leading training sessions, supporting curriculum development, and providing advanced troubleshooting for Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Information Services Applications. This role ensures that users gain a comprehensive understanding of Epic and Information Services systems.

Essential Position Responsibilities

  • Deliver instructor-led training sessions and workshops on Epic and Information Services Applications.
  • Contribute significantly to the development and refinement of training materials and curriculum specific to Epic.
  • Provide second-level support for complex issues within the Epic training environment.
  • Assist the Training Manager in coordinating Epic training sessions and managing training resources.
  • Mentor and support Trainer I staff members.
  • Monitor and evaluate user performance and provide detailed reports to the Training Manager.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED; Associate’s degree or higher in a related field (such as Healthcare, Education, Information Technology) preferred.
  • Licensure and Certifications: EPIC certification in one relevant modules or additional certifications in training, education, or healthcare fields (e.g., Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems - CPHIMS)
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare or educational setting; demonstrated ability to develop and deliver training materials and sessions; experience with adult learning principles and instructional design

Work Environment


This position will primarily involve delivering training sessions in a classroom environment focused on Epic and applications, mentoring junior trainers, and working in an office environment. Sitting 60% of the time and standing, walking, upright movement 40% of the time.
