ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Clean the common/public areas of the Grandview Center (GVC) on a daily basis to include: Dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting the bathrooms. Empty and remove all trash on a daily basis. Clean windows. Keep bathrooms supplied with toilet tissue, soap, Kleenex, etc. Notify Supervisor regarding any housekeeping and/or supply problems.
• Perform minor maintenance to include: Adjustments to plumbing fixtures, replacement of bulbs in light fixtures, light grounds work to facility entry ways and light cleaning to agency vehicles.
• Perform other duties as deemed necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position or as assigned by the supervisor.
• Work effectively and non-defensively with a variety of populations. Be aware of and sensitive to the cultural diversity of clients, co-workers, and other persons in the performance of job duties.
• Remain current in regard to the required hours of annual staff development. Maintain regular and reliable level of attendance necessary to perform job responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ENVIRONMENT:
Education, Training and Work Experience: High School diploma or GED, ability to operate light machinery and familiarity with basic building and grounds keeping tasks.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills: Basic computer skills, i.e. email, word processing, spreadsheets, and search engine type programs.

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Ability to climb ladders at reasonable heights. Ability to lift objects greater than fifty (50) pounds above your head. May occasionally be exposed to dust, dirt, loud noise, and cleaning chemicals.
