LPN responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Licensed practical nurses provide direct nursing care to incarcerated individuals, including assessments, treatments, wound care, medication administration, and emergency interventions.
- Medical Records: LPNs maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with both facility policies and healthcare regulations.
- Emergency Response: Licensed practical nurses respond to medical emergencies, perform first aid, and assist in emergency evacuation procedures when necessary.
- Health Education: LPNs provide health education and counseling to patients regarding chronic conditions, medications, and wellness.
- Infection Control: Licensed practical nurses adhere to strict infection control and safety protocols to prevent outbreaks and maintain a sterile environment.
