Marker Maker - Contract Cutting - Asheville

 

Reports to:  Cutting Department Supervisor              

Supervises:  N/A

 

Summary Statement:   Under the general supervision of the Cutting Department Supervisor, the person in this position prepares production and sample markers to ensure the best and most cost-effective utilization of fabric following all established work and safety procedures.

Essential Job Functions

  • Prepare both production and costing markers for various types of fabric.
  • Maintain accurate marker records for all production cuts and costing.
  • Make templates for production and training purposes.
  • Prepare and maintain various reports.

Marginal Job Functions

  • Assist other personnel as time and knowledge permit.
  • Participate in training and meetings as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to work both planned and unplanned overtime.

  • Must be able to work professionally as part of a team with other department employees.
  • Must be able to comprehend and perform duties using established work and safety procedures.
  • Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • Must be able to read and write.
  • Must have excellent math and computer skills.
  • Must perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workloads.
  • Must be detail oriented.

 

Education and Work Experience

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of two years of CAD experience is required.
