BSC Store Manager- McGuire AFB

Position title: BSC Store Manager

Reports to: District Manager

Supervises: BSC Location Staff


Position summary:

This position is responsible for the overall store operations and personnel of the Base Supply Centers, Government Supply Centers, or Hazmat Supply Centers.


Duties and responsibilities:

  • Always maintains a high customer first service culture.
  • Ability to build, lead and inspire a team of customer-oriented professionals.
  • Responsible for company branding including brand and inventory compliancy, merchandising and staff appearance.
  • Conducts orientation for all new team members.
  • Responsible for providing sight impaired employees with all equipment needed to perform their job.
  • Assures compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Resolve any and all customer issues in the store.
  • Oversee merchandise training and education.
  • Completes Market Basket Survey quarterly.
  • Monitors and manages all receiving and allocation of inventory.
  • Resolves shipment quality discrepancies by mediating vendor/manufacturing issues.
  • Implements and maintains all company policy and procedures.
  • Has fiscal responsibility for store purchases and expenses.
  • Responsible for all inventory and shrink goals and guidelines for store.
  • Responsible for staff schedule.
  • Manage and submit store payroll.
  • Be able to identify, manage and speak to monthly and yearly sales goals.
  • Works closely with Deployment Coordinator in order to ensure deployer timelines are met and orders fulfilled.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of government/military practices and procedures is helpful.
  • Should have proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Ability to multitask and comply with deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate articulately with all levels of military and government contractors.
  • Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds.

Education and work experience:

  • Bachelors degree or higher preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years prior retail management experience.
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Must pass government background and drug tests.
