General Responsibilities:

 

  • Conduct quarterly and annual reviews to monitor adherence to rules and regulations

 

  • Develop compliance strategies or programs for the company based on state and federal laws.

 

  • Evaluate team members’ knowledge of polices and educate them on work-related laws and regulations

 

  • Improve areas of the business to ensure all departments meet state or federal requirements

 

  • Ensure products manufactured adhere to FMVSS/CMVSS standards and regulations.

 

  • Lead FMVSS testing activities with partner test labs and facilities

 

  • Lead state and federal compliance initiatives including EPA, DOT, NHTSA campaigns.

 

  • Document and facilitate prompt reporting and communications to dealers, customers, and federal stakeholders; specifically recall, technical service bulletin, and manufacturer notices.

 

  • Identify and assess potential risks and develop plans to minimize or eliminate them

 

  • Work with upper management to address ethical violations or compliance issues and find solutions

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance. The employee will frequently lift and/or move 20-25 pounds and may be required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A or B.S.) from a 4-year college or University; or
  • 5 - 7 years of related experience and/or training; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
