Responsibilities
- Through collaboration with Revenue Cycle Department staff members who perform Single Billing Office functions, participate in Department activity that related to SBO operations and customer relations
- Attend to work queue tasks as assigned by SBO lead
- Through coordination with applicable collection agencies, assist with conversion of applicable patient accounts from receivable to bad debt
- Promptly and appropriately respond to queries submitted via the Hospital health information management system to SBO Staff
- Facilitate and process Hospital patient participation in applicable Hospital financial assistance programs, while ensuring that state and federal requirements for such participation are continuously met
- Assist with outer routine SBO process (e.g. which might relate to daily deposits, returned mail or patient bad debt or bankruptcy
