Responsibilities:
Functions Specific to Role as Distribution Technician:
- Maintain Hospital inventory supply in manner that avoids supply excess or shortage and thus optimizes Hospital operations efficiency.
- Exercise due diligence necessary to ensure that supply purchase costs are at competitive rates.
- Actively participate in preparations for common market shortages and disruptions, such as those that occur during influenza season or inclement weather.
- Receive purchased stock and ensure that such stock is congruent with complementary purchase orders and packing slips.
- Maintain inventory stock area in an orderly and organized manner.
- Assist Emergency Medical Technicians who stock supplies in other Departments to locate such supplies in inventory stock.
- Ensure prompt satisfaction of supply requisitions and requests made via the Hospital electronic service desk.
- Perform duties associated with complete daily stocking of Nursing Department patient care supplies, including unpacking, labeling, and placement of such supplies.
- Fulfill orders requested by authorized Hospital staff members, and complete reconciliation indicated during such fulfillment.
- Inform Materials Management Manager about routine supplies that are backordered, as well as probable ship dates of such supplies.
- Perform other duties assigned by Materials Management Manager or Chief Operations Officer.
