Description:

Santiam Hospital is currently seeking Full Time Cook to join our Santiam Hospital Food Service Department 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares assigned meals for staff and patients following HACCP guidelines.
    Serves the hot portion of the patient’s meal according to the patient’s diet and other personal preferences.
  • Responsible for timely set up, food preparation, service, and clean-up of catered meals.
  • Maintains a clean, orderly work area, following a clean as you go policy.
  • Protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal, medical and financial information per HIPAA.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

Qualification/Education/Requirements:

  • Two years of cooking experience (restaurant, school, hospital, etc.) preferred
  • Current Marion County Health Department Food Service Handler’s Card
  • Knowledge of the principals of the work involved.
  • Orientation and In-service Education provided
  • Able to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge and use of computer preferred
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and have excellent interpersonal skills
    Must be highly motivated
    Work well with a team and have the ability to function in a fast-paced environment
