DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
Come join our Primary Care Department at Santiam Hospital & Clinics! We are currently seeking a Triage Nurse (RN) Needed to work with our ambulatory care clinics! The shift will be Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.
This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a variety of environments. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic self-starter and have excellent customer service skills with a passion for providing exceptional patient care.

Staff and patient safety go hand-in-hand. The Triage Nurse (RN) provides patient care and clinical support for the providers in the clinic. Triages and prioritizes incoming patient concerns, conferring with physicians, following through on physician orders, relaying information to patients and keeping up to date on processes and medications to best care for our patient population.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Triage all patient related telephone calls.
- Prioritize calls according to severity.
- Assesses situations and consult with the provider.
- Accurately document/relay orders to patients or other health care facilities.
- Demonstrate effective time management and organizational skills.
- Provide education/guidance to patients and/or family members in regard to medications, treatments and appointments.
- Other responsibilities as directed by providers or management.
