Compensation: $35.90 - $52.77 DOE

Job Summary: Full-time, shared rotating call required; a call weekend every 4th - 6th weekend.

Department Description: We have a busy and growing surgery department with an outstanding personable team to work! In Surgical Services, we have seven pre and post beds, three large surgical suites, and a fourth surgical-GI suite. We also service a surgical suite in the Family Birthing Center.


Responsibilities:

· Work in an environment where patients receive surgical interventions in the specialty areas of:

o General Surgery with robotics, Podiatry, Orthopedic trauma & total joint replacements, Ophthalmology, OB-GYN with robotics, ENT/Head & Neck.

· Scrub Techs and First Assistants, within their scope of practice; optimize provision of surgical patient care through appropriate use of techniques

· Ensure surgical conditions optimization via surveillance of medical equipment

· Effectively collaborate with Hospital staff and medical staff members toward provision of pre-operative, inter-operative, and post-operative care to surgical patients

· Protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal, medical and financial information per HIPAA.


 

Qualifications

Qualification/Education/Requirements

· Must be able to communicate effectively and have excellent interpersonal skills

· Knowledge of principles that relate to this position

· Must be highly motivated

· Work well with a team and have the ability to function in a fast- paced environment

· Possession and maintenance of either a Certified Surgical Assistant credential from the National Commission for the Certification of Surgical assistants or a Certified Surgical First Assistant credential from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.

· Current BLS required

· 2-years multi service line experience preferred; 1-year experience required
