Description
- Maintain accurate and current Hospital healthcare provider information required by commercial and government payors for completion of applicable provider credentialing applications, identify and resolve discrepancies in such information, and use such information to complete such applications
- As is indicated, assist providers with application for initial Medical Staff appointment and Medical Staff Reappointment
- Accurately provide information necessary for maintenance of individual provider accounts that relate to provide credentialing, licensure, registration, and payment and maintain data required for electronic access to such accounts
- In accord with CMS operating rules, ensure prompt report of pertinent provider date to the CAQH
- Ensure that applicable provider licensure and registration are valid and current, and, as is indicated, facilitate renewal of such credentials
- Promptly meet payor requests for provider re-credentialing, revalidation and re-verification
- Communicate professionally and effectively in response to inquiries; from hospital patients, Medical Clinics patients, payors and providers; about matters that relate to provider credentialing
- Work collaboratively with Revenue Cycle Director, Hospital Billing Specialists, Professional Billing Specialists, Hospital Charge Entry Specialists, Financial Counselor, and Hospital and Professional Billing Representatives to identify and resolve provider credentialing issues that have potential to confound authorization or payment for patient services.
