Summary:
Vighter is recruiting multiple credentialing specialists to assist in the hire and placement of qualified candidates. The credentialing specialist works under the direction of the credentialing manager and is functionally aligned with the Human Resources core competencies. Vighter’s Program Management Office (PMO) staff manage a large workforce of healthcare professionals (HCPs) who conduct basic screening assessments and provide healthcare services to individuals detained by Customs and Border Protection (CBP). The PMO staff are responsible for supporting the client and the workforce to accomplish the mission.
Education, Licensure/Certification & Experience:
- At least three years of experience in healthcare credentialing, privileging, or provider enrollment, with demonstrated proficiency in credentialing standards and processes.
- Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) credential preferred.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and guidelines related to provider credentialing and enrollment.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and convey complex information clearly.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Maintain credentialing policies, procedures, and workflows to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance with accreditation standards.
- Coordinate with internal departments, external agencies, and credentialing organizations to obtain verification of provider credentials, licenses, certifications, and other required documents.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of credentialing files and databases to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and submit reports on credentialing activities, performance metrics, and compliance status to management and regulatory agencies as required.
- Collaborate with medical staff leaders, department managers, and human resources to address credentialing-related concerns, resolve disputes, and facilitate credentialing decisions.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with credentialing agencies, licensing boards, and other external partners to streamline the credentialing process and expedite provider approvals.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and committees to coordinate scheduling efforts, resolve conflicts, and improve interdisciplinary communication and collaboration.
- Other duties as assigned.
Duty Hours / On-call Requirements:
- The expected duty hours for this position are 8 hours per day and 5 days per week. However, this key position supporting 24/7/365 operations which may require work to be conducted in the day, at night, on weekends, and during holidays.

Qualifications:
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, and/or sit for more than 8 hours per day.
- Must be able to perform duties in a stressful and often austere environment without physical limitations.
- Must be able to use an elevator or walk up and down stairs.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 10 feet.
- Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows/knees and reach above and below shoulders.
- Must be able to read and interpret handwritten and typewritten print.
- Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
- Must be willing to work day, night, weekdays, weekends, holidays, and overtime if necessary.
- Must be able to perform duties in an indoor and/or outdoor environment.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background investigation. Candidate must not have been convicted of, pled guilty to, pled nolo contender to, or received probation prior to judgement for any crime other than a minor traffic violation, the record of which has not been expunged.
- Must undergo Urine Drug Screening (UDS).
