Summary:
Vighter is recruiting multiple Logistics Specialist to provide critical role managing logistics operations for remote sites, ensuring the efficient movement of goods, materials, and equipment to and from these locations. The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for coordinating transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and supply chain activities to support the needs of remote operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics management, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience working in remote or challenging environments.
Principle Accountabilities:
- Oversee logistics operations for local and remote sites, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and supply chain activities.
- Coordinate the movement of goods, materials, and equipment to and from remote sites, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to operational schedules.
- Develop and implement logistics plans and strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels for remote operations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to coordinate transportation services, including freight carriers, airlines, and shipping companies.
- Manage inventory levels and stock levels at remote sites, ensuring adequate supply of materials and equipment to support operational needs.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of inventory and storage facilities at remote sites, ensuring compliance with inventory management policies and procedures.
- Analyze logistics data and performance metrics to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, and make recommendations for process enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental regulations for logistics operations in remote sites.
- Stay informed about changes in logistics technology, regulations, and best practices, and incorporate new tools and techniques into logistics operations as needed.
- Functional proficiency and ability to document patient-centered health care in the required electronic health record or electronic medical record, in the required format, in a timely manner, and in compliance with contract policy and guidance.

Knowledge and Skills:
- Must have exceptional customer service skills.
- Employees shall be technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the job requirements, including ability to speak, understand, read and write English fluently.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in logistics, with experience in government, remote or challenging environments.
- Strong understanding of logistics principles, practices, and technologies, with knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Proficiency in logistics software and systems, such as transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and inventory management systems.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with the ability to effectively operate logistics needs in remote sites.
Duty Hours / On-call Requirements:
- Generally speaking, the corporate office is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m.; however, during times of rapid mobilization, hours may be extended to include days, nights, weekends and holidays. The are opportunities across a multitude of locations and shifts.

Travel:
- As required to satisfy the contractual obligations. Generally, travel is limited to commute from residence to the worksite. Commute is non-compensatory. All official travel is government-funded.

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit for more than 8 hours per day.
- Must be willing to work overtime if necessary.
- Must be able, with advance notice to float to surgical sites within 15 miles.
- Must be able to use an elevator or walk up and down stairs.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and carry up to 10 feet.
- Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows/knees and reach above and below shoulders.
- Must be able to read and interpret handwritten and typewritten print.
- Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
- Must be able to perform duties in an indoor or outdoor environment
- Must be able to pass a criminal background investigation.
- Must undergo Urine Drug Screening (UDS).
- Positions require applicants to be US Citizens, 21 years or older.
- Must complete criminal background check, and Child Abuse and Neglect (CAN) background check.
