Summary:
Vighter LLC is seeking a highly organized and experienced Logistics Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the transportation, distribution, and storage of goods, while ensuring efficiency, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness. The Logistics Manager will lead a team to streamline processes, optimize resources, and maintain high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Principle Accountabilities:
- Develop and implement logistics strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Coordinate and oversee the transportation of goods, including scheduling shipments, selecting carriers, and negotiating freight rates.
- Manage inventory levels and storage to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing carrying costs and obsolescence if required.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues or delays that may arise.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, sales, and customer service, to forecast demand, plan shipments, and resolve logistical issues.
- Supervise and train logistics staff, including logistics specialists, and administrative personnel.
- Implement and maintain safety standards and regulatory compliance for all logistics activities.
- Analyze data and generate reports to evaluate performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and make recommendations for process enhancements.
- Continuously seek opportunities to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve efficiency within the logistics network.
- Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in logistics management.

Knowledge and Skills:
- Must have exceptional customer service skills.
- Employees shall be technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the job requirements, including ability to speak, understand, read and write English fluently.
Education:
- Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards related to logistics operations.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure.
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CSCMP, APICS) is preferred.
Duty Hours / On-call Requirements:
- Generally speaking, the corporate office is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m.; however, during times of rapid mobilization, hours may be extended to include nights and weekends.

Travel:
- As required to satisfy the contractual obligations. Generally, travel is limited to commute from residence to the worksite. Commute is non-compensatory. All official travel is government-funded.

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit for more than 8 hours per day.
- Must be willing to work overtime if necessary.
- Must be able, with advance notice to float to surgical sites within 15 miles.
- Must be able to use an elevator or walk up and down stairs.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and carry up to 10 feet.
- Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows/knees and reach above and below shoulders.
- Must be able to read and interpret handwritten and typewritten print.
- Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
- Must be able to perform duties in an indoor or outdoor environment
- Must be able to pass a criminal background investigation
- Must undergo Urine Drug Screening (UDS).
- Positions require applicants to be US Citizens, 21 years or older.
- Must complete criminal background check, and Child Abuse and Neglect (CAN) background check.
