Vighter is seeking several Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists to provide patient care support at the George E. Wahlen Veterans Affairs Medical Center, located in Salt Lake City, Utah (Relo Assistance Provided*). Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists are responsible for the direct and indirect care of patients to ensure that the quality of the studies adhere to established standards. The CT Tech will perform other functions as determined by the Supervisor in expediting the care of the patient.

CT Tech Responsibilities:
- Performs a variety of specialized with and without contrast material CT examinations.
- Responsible for providing care across the range of Radiology Technologist services as would be provided in a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility. The standard of care shall be of a quality, meeting or exceeding currently recognized national standards.
- Critiques images for quality and notifies the Radiologist and/or CT Supervisor of significant exams requiring immediate attention while the patient is undergoing examination.
- Ensures all documentation required for the completion of the exam is complete in data entry systems.
- Uses judgment and initiative, relying on established protocols and past practice when a difficult decision must be made.
- Prepares contrast material for fluoroscopic and special procedures under the direction of the Radiologist for the purpose of performing imaging examinations.
- Must be continuously on the alert to the patient’s condition and other disorders. Adverse reactions on the part of the patient require immediate attention so that harm does not come to the patient or equipment.
*Must adhere to 2024 National Patient Safety Goals (NPSG) standards /guidelines
Requirements:
- Education: Graduate from an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- Certification: RT Certification from ARRT is required and CT Certification is required, Basic Life Support (BLS).
- License: Have and maintain a valid, unrestricted license in any state, territory, or commonwealth of the U.S and/or certification as required.
