First Officer (SIC)

Position Overview:
Kansas Athletics, Inc. operates a Cessna Citation CJ4. This aircraft is operated for the purpose of meeting the business transportation needs of Kansas Athletics and University of Kansas affiliated groups. The First Officer's primary responsibility is the safe operation of all flights. This position will be one of three pilot positions on the Cessna Citation CJ4.

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsible for supporting and assisting the Captain with flight and operational duties, and is responsible for duties delegated by the Captain. These duties include:

• Ensuring the aircraft is adequately stocked, cleaned, and ready for operation.
• Voicing concerns regarding flight safety or other items to the Captain or Chief Pilot as appropriate.
• Acting as Pilot Flying or Pilot Monitoring as designated by the Captain.
• Taking command of the aircraft in the event of Captain's incapacitation.
• The First Officer is administratively responsible to the Chief Pilot and is functionally responsible to the Captain on the flight to which they are assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Multi-Engine certificate
• First Class Medical Certificate (Current or ability to immediately obtain)
• 3000 hours Total Time
• 2000 hours Pilot-In-Command time
• 1000 hours Pilot-In-Command time of a multi-engine aircraft
• Experience exercising confidentiality and discretion.
• Experience communicating effectively with staff and customers as evidenced through application materials and interviews.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CE-525 Type Rating (PIC)
• 12-month training current on type (61.58)
