The Hilton Richmond Hotel & Spa/Short Pump is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician who is a team player and enjoys providing top notch hospitality to support the hotel and its sister properties.
The Hilton Richmond Hotel & Spa/Short Pump is a flagship property of Shamin Hotels, Central Virginia's largest hotel management company. We have tripled in size to 78 full- and select-service hotels over the past ten years and own and operate hotels under the Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, InterContinental and Choice flags.

The ideal candidate will be available to work a flexible full-time schedule that will include mostly first shifts (7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.), but also second and midday shifts as well. The position will be located primarily at the Hilton Short Pump with occasional shifts at sister hotels in the region and for special projects with the Corporate Director of Engineering.
We are open 24/7/365 days a year, so you must be able to work weekends and holidays. Some overtime might be required on occasion. We have a team environment, so a positive attitude and friendly demeanor is required. The ideal candidate will be looking for long-term employment with room to grow with Shamin Hotels.
Job duties include:
- Maintain properties, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities, using hand tools.
- Replace AC filters.
- Notify management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
- Tend furnace, air-conditioner, and boiler equipment and maintain other equipment with standard preventative maintenance procedures.
- Maintain records on all equipment maintenance and repair.
- Maintain files of Material Safety Data Sheets.
- Maintain quality of appearance of interior and exterior of hotel to Hilton and Shamin standards.
- Repair wallpaper, carpet, sheetrock, and doors of hotel.
- Keep an orderly and well-stocked inventory of finishing supplies.
- Maintain superior quality up to the Hilton and Shamin standards in the guest rooms.
- Check operation of all guest room equipment.
- Correct minor problems and report major problems to General Manager.
- Keep records of rooms completed.
- Ensure par stocking of regularly used parts and supplies.
- Inspect and repair minor problems in common areas.
- Learn emergency procedures.
- Be responsible for safe operation of all equipment, chemicals, and lockout procedures.
- Performs other related duties as required.
