Urban Engineers is seeking qualified individuals in Philadelphia to join the IT Department as our Deltek Vantagepoint Lead Systems Manager. The Lead Systems Manager will oversee the successful upgrade of Deltek Vantagepoint, ensuring seamless integration and functionality across the organization. Post-upgrade, they will serve as the organization's subject matter expert (SME) for Deltek Vantagepoint, leveraging their expertise to develop and deliver operational and financial reports and analyses. This individual will bridge the gap between system capabilities and business needs, providing valuable insights to business leaders and ensuring that Vantagepoint is fully optimized to support organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
Upgrade Leadership:
- Plan, manage, and execute the upgrade of Deltek Vantagepoint, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Collaborate with IT, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure that the upgrade is completed on time and within budget.
- Conduct system testing, validation, and troubleshooting throughout the upgrade process.
- Develop and deliver user training and documentation to facilitate adoption of the upgraded system.
System Expertise & Support:
- Serve as the go-to SME for Deltek Vantagepoint post-upgrade, providing technical guidance and support across the organization.
- Ensure ongoing system optimization by monitoring performance and addressing issues proactively.
- Maintain knowledge of system updates, patches, and best practices to keep the organization at the forefront of Vantagepoint capabilities.
Data & Reporting:
- Understand the Deltek Vantagepoint underlying data model and extract tools to create and manage customized reports.
- Develop and deliver operational and financial reports and analyses tailored to the needs of business leaders and executive stakeholders.
- Provide insights that drive decision-making and align with organizational strategy.
- Build and maintain dashboards and other tools for real-time data access.

Requirements:
Education: Associate or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related/applicable major.
Experience:
- 7+ years of experience with Deltek systems, including extensive experience with Deltek Vantagepoint.
- Proven track record of managing Deltek upgrades, with a focus on successful implementations and user adoption.
- Strong background in developing financial and operational reporting solutions.
Technical Skills:
- Deep understanding of the Vantagepoint data model and extract tools.
- Proficiency in SQL, reporting tools (e.g., SSRS, Power BI, Tableau), and financial analysis software.
- Familiarity with integration between Deltek and other enterprise systems.
Business Acumen:
- Strong understanding of financial processes, operational workflows, and reporting requirements in a professional services environment.
- Experience collaborating with executive leaders to develop actionable insights from data.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts into business language.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a professional services or consulting firm environment.
- Certification in Deltek Vantagepoint or relevant systems.
- Familiarity with APIs and data integration tools for extended system functionality.
