Communications Senior Manager
Job Overview: The Communications Senior Manager is a member of the Communications Team. This position supports the Director of Communications with writing, editing, and publishing content in Spanish and English for internal and external audiences, coordinating communications, and ensuring the timely and quality production of specific work products such as the weekly family update. The Communications Senior Manager does not have any direct reports.
Reports To:This position reports to the Director of Communications. The title is defined as Senior Manager or Manager depending on the experience.
Responsibilities and Duties
Communications
- Responsible for elaborating and documenting the family update while collaborating with different teams to obtain new content to be edited and published in Spanish and English
- Responsible for sending bilingual ad hoc messaging and follow-ups by coordinating with different teams throughout this workflow, in addition to creating and updating templates for a variety of messages
- Responsible for sending emergency communications via email, text, or phone (robo) call when necessary
- Responsible for owning and managing communications platforms, in addition to training teachers and staff to use it
- Maintain the school-wide communications tracker of all outgoing messages to families and stakeholders, and create reports of those communications
- Responsible for communications databases management by keeping data accuracy, managing user permissions, and over time transitions
- Responsible for organizing the Communications team Google Drive
- Responsible for checking/responding the communications@ email address
- Support the Director of Communications with communications planning and strategy
- Support with translations (Spanish & English) embedded in all responsibilities
- Support with documenting school activities, special events, and daily routines with media (photo and video)
Other
- Attend and participate in team meetings
- Attend and participate in staff Professional Development
- Support school safety by assisting with student arrival and dismissal procedures
- Attending evening/weekend school community events throughout the year, such as orientation, prospective parent info sessions, celebrations of learning, volunteer build days, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
Other Job Details
- A full-time 12-month position which is exempt and therefore not eligible for overtime pay under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act
- Employment subject to TB test, fingerprinting, and background check
- A schedule of 8 hour day starting at 8:00am
- A location across the school network
