Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

General Tasks:

  • Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
  • Clean windows and mirrors.
  • Clean and supply restrooms.
  • Remove waste and empty trash.
  • Replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies.
  • Organize janitorial storage areas.
  • Light gardening work, trimming shrubs and clearing weeds.
  • Occasional detailed cleaning of hard-to-reach areas.
  • Clean kitchen appliances, cabinets, sinks and refrigerators.
  • Maintain cleaning chart indicating areas that were cleaned and inspected.
  • Notify supervisors about unsafe conditions or concerning the need for repairs or maintenance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Excellent Customer Service
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • At least three to five years of related experience. 
  • Knowledge of different cleaning products and tools.
  • Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able and willing to follow direction and protocols.

 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL WORK DEMANDS:

  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
  • Ability to lift and move over 50 pounds.
  • Ability to handle cleaning supplies and light chemicals.
