SUMMARY
|
The Senior HR Generalist is responsible for overseeing a wide range of human resources functions within an organization. This role collaborates with senior management to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company’s objectives. Responsibilities include handling employee relations, performance management, ensuring compliance with labor laws and assisting with recruitment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
|
- Addresses employee concerns, mediates conflicts and fosters a positive work environment.
- Administers performance management processes, providing coaching and constructive feedback to supervisors and employees.
- Manages compensation structures and ensures competitive and fair compensation practices.
- Manages benefits programs including, but not limited to, health benefits, leaves of absence, and workers compensation.
- Leads and participates in HR projects such as organizational and employee development initiatives.
- Develops, implements, and maintains HR policies and procedures.
- Tracks KPIs and evaluates metrics to measure effectiveness of existing HR processes and highlight areas of concern.
- Supports recruiting process including writing job descriptions, posting jobs, screening candidates, interviewing and onboarding.
- Acts as SME and lead technical resource for HRIS and other HR applications.
- Provides payroll assistance as needed.

REQUIREMENTS
|
Education:
|
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience. HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred.

Experience:
|
Four (4) to seven (7) years of human resources experience, preferably in a material-handling, industrial, or manufacturing industry.
|

- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to problem solve, combined with decisive judgment ability.
- Capability to develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives.
- In depth knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws and regulations.
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
- Ability to mentor and lead HR team members
- Strong communication and presentation skills in both oral and written formats.
- Proactive, driven, self-starter attitude, willingness and ability to work independently.

- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to use office equipment and computers throughout working day.
- Ability to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms regularly.
- Ability to lift and carry supplies and materials up to 25 lbs on occasion.
- Ability to see, talk, and hear regularly.
