Principal Duty

The Contract Analyst will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and managing contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements. This role involves close collaboration with various departments to support contract negotiations and administration. Primary business areas under responsibility include construction projects, maintenance services, and purchasing.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Lead contract reviews using best practices to document and communicate digitally
  • Primary documents under responsibility include Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOW), Proposals, Early Work Agreements (EWA) and Letters of Intent (LOI), Change Orders, and other legal forms such as Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
  • Determine adverse terms and conditions and proactively suggest alternative language
  • Inform internal stakeholders of the risks, consequences, and practical application of the contractual terms under negotiation
  • Uphold corporate requirements and compliance in determining risks and obtaining approvals
  • Track status of legal forms in development
  • Document for handover to operations and finance, key terms and conditions; develop a database of contracts to quickly query key terms and conditions
  • Support internal development of policies and compliance
  • Focus on LEAN / continuous improvements in controls and compliance
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements Profile

  • Esquire, Juris Doctor (JD) degree, or bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Contract Analyst
  • In-depth knowledge of construction practices including indemnification, limits of liability, and commercial insurance
  • Demonstrated expertise working under deadlines, detailed oriented, excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables to completion and on time
  • Proficient with Adobe Acrobat and MS Office suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
