Description

Principal Duty

As the Project Manager, you will maintain management of the entire customer order realisation. Implementation of agreed customer requirements. Creation of a problem-free zone for the customer by assuming the responsibility and thinking outside the box. The goal is to maximize the profit made on orders through an effective, professional, and economical implementation of the customer's requirements and the Sales department's specifications (Key Account Management and Applications Engineering) with respect to performance, schedule, and costs.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility regarding performance, schedule, technology, safety and cost of all orders which are permanently or temporarily assigned. Responsibility starts with order handover and ends with the end of warranty.
  • The range of orders comprises all product lines, the Intercompany and the Distributor Business.
  • Takeover of orders from SALES
  • Responsibility for scheduling
    • order planning (materials, services, resources)
    • site planning (mechanical assembly schedule, installation, commissioning) and support
    • progress monitoring, intervention where necessary (in-house and at the construction site)
  • Technology
    • Material flow & layout / ensuring accuracy / optimisation of material flow
    • Establishing technical clarity
      • load type, scope of services / products
      • organisation of mock-ups including definition of acceptance criteria
      • functional specification (Commander), controls meetings
      • requirements specifications / third-party components
      • performance / calculations
    • Layout / costs
    • Order controlling (preview, cost calculation, ROR, deposit plan, ...)
    • Optimal cost-benefit ratio
    • Coordination with customers and suppliers regarding additional or reduced expenses
  • Organisational matters
    • Leadership of the project-related core team
    • Contact for communication within the project (internal / external)
    • Installation organisation (installation documents, work and travel requirements, final decision on additional working hours, awarding of installation contract)
    • Installation safety during every phase (mechanical installation, commissioning, live operation, ...)
      • site evaluation, residual risk analysis including fields of operation with the customer and implementing controls party
      • documentation, operating manuals, declarations of incorporation
      • acceptance, training
      • coordination with the customer regarding transfer of risk, warranty, final acceptance
    • Problem resolution management and escalation management (internal / external)
    • Handover to Lifetime Services, support regarding warranty issues

Requirements Profile
