Fall 2024: Electrical Engineering Co-Op

We have an opening for an ambitious Electrical Engineering Co-Op to join our Realization Controls team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Electrical Engineering Co-Op will utilize engineering processes and tools in the designing, planning, and inventorying for a customer’s order according to schedule, budget, and scope.

This is what you’ll get to do:
- Learn TGW and industry technologies and products
- Complete internal training of related engineering processes and tools
- Verify accuracy of controls design documentation, including sensor/actuator reports, controls component order lists, electrical drawings, motor lists, etc.
- Controls Systems engineering – create and maintain sensor/actuator reports and controls component order lists, etc. – on project under direction of a lead engineer
- Inventory logistics after completion of projects
- Support the specification and clarification of controls interfaces to equipment supplied by third-parties
- Support on-site controls installation and logistics
You should already have experience with:
- Effective problem solving methods
- MS Office programs
- Basic prior understanding of electrical circuits and e-drawings
You should also know:
This position requires a junior or senior-level student in Electric or Computer Engineering. This is a fulltime, fall 2024 rotation (September 2024 – December 2024) with a compensation of $19/hour. The successful intern will be considered for fulltime employment upon graduation.
