Principal Duty

The Electrical Installation Supervisor provides the on-site coordination and execution of electrical installation work of electrical contractors, with an emphasis on National Electrical Code [NEC] and National Electrical Installation Standards [NEIS] code compliance, TGW controls standards and quality. This position will report to the Controls Installation Manager for project assignments and uniformity of all TGW electrical installations.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  1. This position will work in close coordination on each project with the assigned Project Manager Controls (PrMC) for schedule and quality related activities along with the Onsite Manager (OSM) for safety and other site related activities.
  2. Maintains positive relationships with customers, electrical installation suppliers and other TGW employees.
  3. Works with the onsite TGW Team for enforcement of OSHA and TGW safety standards with the goal of accident prevention.
  4. Coordinates and supervises electrical installation activities either with TGW personal or sub contracted labor or a combination of both
  5. Responsible for achieving deadlines, quality targets and costs over the duration of the electrical installation work
  6. Daily documentation of work on multiple platforms with an emphasis on ensuring most recent installation plans are utilized and +/- list are maintained to control change order cost.
  7. Ensures compliance with TGW standards and tendering documents
  8. Ensures quality control for the electrical installation including training of TGW employees and sub contracted labor doing electrical installation
  9. Proactively identifies and solves problems
  10. Ensures all administrative duties are properly completed and maintained including daily reports, timecards, checklist, handover documents, punch lists, inventory control and anything else required for the jobsite
  11. Manage labor hours, materials, equipment and subcontractors to ensure cost control
  12. Trains any new employees assigned to him/her

Requirements Profile

  1. Requires a minimum of a State Journeyman’s License or equivalent.
  2. Extensive electrical experience with industrial equipment installation and machine build wiring
  3. Experience with conveyor installation is encouraged
  4. Able to read and interpret blueprint drawings, submittals and specifications
  5. Excellent Communication and Leadership skills
  6. Reliability, cost awareness, being flexible and customer orientated
  7. Able to learn and adapt
  8. Able to work with numerous contractors as well as internal departments
  9. Proficient in Microsoft Office
  10. Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Project a plus
  11. Completion of OSHA 30-hour training a plus
  12. Experience in the controls aspects of material handling equipment a plus
  13. Ability to travel 90% of the time
