Job Title:  Digital Marketing Strategist (Awareness)

Reports To:  Senior Manager, Digital Media

Department:  EMS Marketing

Location: Remote

 

Who You Are:

As a Digital Marketing Strategist, you will be responsible for the performance and growth of pay per click (PPC), paid social, and retargeting/display campaigns for our partner schools. Additionally, you will be managing social media strategies on behalf of our partner schools to drive engagement with prospective students.  The Digital Media Strategist works as part of a cohesive Marketing team to increase traffic, engagement, and brand awareness for client partners. Candidates must show a detail-driven digital marketing background. Emphasis for this role will be on paid media buying and planning to drive qualified conversions.

Here are the abilities we seek out:

  • Develop, execute, and manage full funnel marketing strategies to drive awareness, consideration and lead generation websites and landing pages.
  • Optimize marketing performance to client goals through a digital media mix comprised of PPC/paid search, paid social, retargeting, and display media campaigns.
  • Work closely with Account Management and Marketing leadership to conceptualize, execute, and report on campaign strategy and effectiveness in addition to leveraging self-created reporting to evaluate performance specific to the channel or medium.
  • Frequent, in-depth data analysis to spot trends/shifts in the landscape and opportunities to improve performance and ROI.
  • Test the performance of ad creative, landing page design, beta opportunities, new vendors and other campaign elements to improve results.
  • Manage relationships with multiple vendors, working closely to optimize budget and performance.
  • Participate in client calls to discuss account performance, interpretation of data, and actionable plans based on findings.
  • Collaborate cross-channel with other teams to provide client with a holistic view of their digital footprint and better understanding of how each channel interacts with each other.
  • Develop, execute, and manage social media marketing strategies to drive traffic and engagement for Awareness campaigns across: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, Reddit, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms.
  • Identify and present new opportunities and areas of growth to clients and prospects that will improve their digital marketing ROI including but not limited to one-off projects such as audits.

Educational Requirements and Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field OR relevant work experience

Required Skills:

  • 2+ years of client-facing experience with managing social media profiles and growing followers/audience
  • Google Ads, TikTok, Snapchat, Reddit, Facebook Blueprint, or related certification
  • Proficiency in Excel

 Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency using GA4 to identify and report on performance trends
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, specifically for trend analysis
  • Knowledge of Tableau or Databricks
  • Familiarity with HTML and JavaScript
  • An understanding of the Higher Education and Post-Secondary Education sector
  • Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Premiere Pro, and Canva for photo and video content
  • Graphic design and content creation
  • An understanding of the Higher Education and Post-Secondary Education sector
