Job Expectations and Performance Standards:

Windsor is currently seeking a District Manager to join our Windsor Family and oversee our North Carolina district. Windsor expects great job performance.  Job duties are to be conducted in a safe manner and with ethical work habits.  This includes contributing individually and as a team member in meeting company goals and supporting mission statement.  As well as displaying a friendly, respectful and optimistic personality.  In addition, must be responsible in complying with policies, procedures, work rules and guidelines. 

 

Job Summary:

 

 Directs, coaches, and provides leadership for stores assigned by region. Overall, this role manages the sales, store operations, store management recruitment and staffing, associate relations/development, merchandising, loss prevention and expense control for assigned district.

Manages within designated locations; all store operations, loss prevention and makes decisions that directly affect store performance and profitability. Accountable for achieving District and Company overall profitability expectations in terms of sales, shrink, payroll, and expenses. Ensures compliance is met for all company operations, policies, and procedures.

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Monitors, communicates, and achieves District and Company sales goals
  • Coordinates effective meetings and training for Store Management
  • Communicates all information from corporate office to stores
  • Communicates store needs to correct department and follows up as needed
  • Enforces and adheres to all company rules, store operations, guidelines and policies and procedures
  • Ensures compliance with State and Federal Laws
  • Recruits, trains, and ensures adequate staffing of District
  • Monitors payroll and controls store expenses
  • Follows Loss Prevention Procedures and controls shrink and expenses
  • Oversees all store operations and meets Company deadlines
  • Conducting training and recruiting and staffing
  • Ensures work environment is safe and clean at all times
  • Ensures stores are complying with Company Visual Standards
  • Protects Company Assets
  • Communicates opportunity and follows up on store marketing needs
  • Effectively develops and reviews employees
  • Holds employees equally accountable and offers constructive performance feedback

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years Retail Management experience
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Proven experience in multi-tasking and organization
  • Ability to develop and motivate a team of up to 15 stores
  • Able to resolve complaints and problems as they arise from customers and associates
  • Communicates well and effectively in a one and one setting and in a group setting
  • Able to travel and drive as needed

Physical/Environmental Demands:  Frequently stands, walks, observes, communicates and reads.  Regularly moves and pushes.  Counts and writes to accurately complete documentation.  Must be able to; access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register area, operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store, climb ladders, move or handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighing from 0-25 pounds and work varied hours/days to oversee store operations.  Environment is fast paced and indoor temperature conditions apply.
