Role’s Mission
The West Campus Associate Minister will carry out the ministry and operations of the West Campus as a necessary and complementary partner to the West Campus Associate Pastor. Alongside him, the Associate Minister will make sure the campus is run according to the strategic direction of the Elder Board, in accordance with Christ Chapel's policies and procedures, and in accordance with Christ Chapel's ministry and cultural DNA. Primarily he will accomplish this mission through the following roles:

  1. As a Co-Shepherd of the congregation this person will assist the West Campus Pastor with ministering to the day-to-day spiritual needs of the congregation, such as venue pastor duties, hospital visitation, weddings, funerals, and baptisms.
  2. The Associate Minister will be a Facilitator for various adult ministries at the West Campus as assigned by the West Campus Associate Pastor. Based on the giftings of the team, the Associate Minister will find a role recruiting, training, deploying, and shepherding volunteers for one or more of our adult ministries.   
  3. As a Collaborator, this person will help evaluate and coordinate potential partnerships with organizations in our community who wish to use our facilities for their meetings, banquets, and other events. With a goal of creating a ‘raving fan experience’ for any guests who enter our building, we hope these collaborations will lead to unchurched people choosing to visit the West Campus whenever they are ready to attend church.  

Reporting Relationship
This position reports directly to the West Campus Associate Pastor

Qualifications

Requirements

  1. Must be a married Christian with an Elder-qualified character (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9)
  2. Must be a maturing believer who is obviously, consistently and increasingly manifesting the fruit of the Spirit in his daily walk with Christ (Galatians 5:22-23) as well as among others
  3. Must embrace Christ Chapel's doctrinal position and constitution without reservation and be an advocate of our doctrine and philosophy of ministry both in public and in private
  4. Must have a minimum of 2 years experience working in a comparable role in a church or other non-profit ministry (seminary degree preferred as well).
  5. If a believer only receives one gift (1 Pet 4:10), then the ideal candidate has the spiritual gift of Minister/shepherd or leadership.
