JOB TITLE:     TALENT ACQUISITION SPECIALIST

DEPARTMENT:  ADMINISTRATION


GENERAL SUMMARY

Under the direction of COO and Executive Director of Human Relations, works to strengthen the organization by adding the best available people to our staff. Help us source, identify, screen, and hire candidates for various roles in the company. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, two or three years of experience in talent acquisition, proficiency with applicant tracking systems, and an ability to devise sourcing strategies for potential applicants. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills for working closely with others across various departments.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.    Provide input to ensure that teams consist of diverse, qualified individuals
2.    Ensure that staffing needs are being met with a long-term strategy in mind
3.    Devise and implement sourcing strategies, such as an employer branding initiative, to build pipelines for potential applicants 
4.    Create and implement end-to-end hiring processes to ensure a positive experience for candidates
5.    Form close relationships with hiring directors to ensure clear expectations for candidates and interviewers
6.    Coordinate with hiring directors to identify staffing needs and candidate selection criteria
7.    Source applicants through online channels, such as LinkedIn and other professional networks
8.    Create job descriptions and interview questions that reflect the requirements for each position
9.    Compile lists of most-suitable candidates by assessing their CVs, portfolios, and references
10.    Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events to build a strong candidate pipeline
11.    Maintain records of all materials used for recruitment, including interview notes and related paperwork, to share with key stakeholders


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1.    Physical strength to perform the following lifting tasks:

•    Floor to waist - 20 pounds
•    14” to waist - 30 pounds
•    Waist to shoulder - 10 pounds
•    Shoulder to overhead - 10 pounds
•    Carry 20 pounds for 30 feet
•    Push 10 pounds/force for 15 feet
•    Pull 10 pounds/force for 15 feet

2.    Work requires ability to sit for long periods of time. (2-3- hours)

3.    Work requires communication abilities necessary to gather and exchange information with customers on a daily basis.

4.    Excellent telephone and public relations skill required, often under pressure.

5.    Visual acuity to proof-read and check documents for accuracy daily.

6.    Ability to use a computer to input and print data.

7.    Auditory acuity to communicate with customers effectively.

8.    Auditory acuity to communicate with customers effectively.

9.    Ability to function professionally under stressful and space-limited conditions.

10.    Maintains good working relationships with all departments.


REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

Reports to the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director of Human Resources. 

Qualifications

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

1.    Two or three years of experience in a talent acquisition or similar role
2.    Experience in full-cycle recruiting, using various interview techniques and evaluation methods
3.    Proficiency with social media, CV databases, and professional networks
4.    Experience in using LinkedIn Talent Solutions to proactively source candidates
5.    Proficiency in documenting processes and keeping up with industry trends
6.    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
7.    Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in human resources management or similar field

8.    Knowledge of applicant tracking systems


9.    Professional credential, such as HR Certification Institute


INFECTION EXPOSURE RISK LEVEL
Category III - No Risk - Your job does not involve exposure to blood, body fluids or tissue.  You do not perform or help in emergency medical care or first aid as part of your job.

WORKING CONDITIONS

1.    Works in office with one other person. Personal space is limited. Frequent interruptions are ongoing.

2.    Time constraints are a source of pressure due to required turn-around time monitoring.

3.    The department is otherwise free from physical injury when proper safety guidelines are maintained.
