Who We’re Looking For

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated full-time Senior Software Engineer to join our team at our location in Carmel, IN. We are interested in candidates who are looking to work for a company that is passionate about changing lives and helping build the essential workforce!

 

The Senior Software Engineer’s duties and responsibilities include:

  • Developing, deploying, and maintaining software applications 
  • Architecting solutions for scalable, secure software applications 
  • Deployment of CI/CD pipelines for web applications and APIs 
  • Designing and developing microservices using various APIs 
  • Assisting with managing the functionality of HarperRand’s CRM system 
  • Developing new reports for the HarperRand team 
  • Participating in sprint ceremonies and code reviews 
  • Mentoring and working collaboratively with other members of the development team 
  • Assisting in planning and managing upcoming sprint work 
  • Performing other responsibilities and projects as directed by the Chief Technology Officer 

 

The Skills You Need: 

 

  • 2+ years of experience building Django applications 
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript 
  • Experience working with relational databases 
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs. 
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming and Agile programming methodology 
  • Strong attention to detail, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Self-motivated and works well with limited supervision 

 

Even Better If You Have:

 

  • 3-6 years of related experience 
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience  
  • Experience with cloud programming environments such as GCP, AWS, or Azure 
  • CRM experience, such as Salesforce or Zoho 
  • Experience writing unit tests for Django applications 
  • Experience configuring CI/CD pipelines
