POSITION SUMMARY
The Community Business Banking Support Specialist works in the Community Business Banking (CBB) department, supporting a team of Community Business Banking Officers (CBBO’s) with analysis, systems input, sales, and customer onboarding, including applications, and customer service. As part of the CBB team, the Support Specialist serves as a critical cornerstone to enhance the client experience. This role offers the opportunity to gain experience about the business banking industry and gain valuable experience collaborating directly with customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Support CBBO’s in securing, developing, and retaining profitable banking relationships within the bank. Acts as key liaison for CBBO’s and customers for internal and customer inquiries.

Must be a self-starter, team player and provide excellent customer service both internally and externally.

Maintains high quality customer service by supporting our customers with their banking needs.

Partners with Branch employees to ensure proper onboarding of CBB customers and any retail banking products.

Assist the CBBO’s with maintaining and growing business relationships through tracked outreach and marketing activities.

Assists CBBO’s with identifying prospects and opportunities with existing clients. Willingness to partner with CBB and Retail Banking on customer/prospect calls.

Monitors the Community Business Banking email inbox for web-based inquiries and ensures proper follow-up and/or assigns to local banker as appropriate.

Provides support for the loan originations and renewals through effective communication with customers, loan officers and internal partners to ensure collection of required documentation, maintenance of the electronic loan file, input into the loan origination system as well as meeting any pre/post-closing conditions.

Interacts with clients/prospects and acts as a liaison between CBBO’s and other departments, as needed. Provides backup contact to client/prospect when CBBO is unavailable.

Partners with the Programs and Operations Specialist to provide backup and systems support for CBB and the Retail Ambassadors.

Actively adheres to regulatory, and compliance requirements.
