POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for daily cash management process and financial reporting at the direction of the VP-Finance and SVP-Director of Finance.  Individual will also be involved in the monthly creation of profit and loss statements by cost center, including but not limited to a Funds Transfer Pricing model, the allocation model by support functions, and the budgeted versus actual monthly modeling.  The position will support the VP-Finance and SVP-Director of Finance in the annual budget process, including new initiatives, cost centers, and expected profitability.  Position will be closely aligned with accounting and requires a daily interaction with the accounting systems.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Monitors the daily cash management process for the bank.

    • Monitors cash positions and daily funds management as required.

    • Monitor wire/ACH activities.

    • Report daily cash activities to VP-Finance and SVP-Director of Finance.

  • Quarterly peer group analysis.

  • Market deposit rate reporting.

  • Public funds pledging and reporting.

  • FR2900 reporting.

  • Assists the VP-Finance and SVP-Director of Finance in the budgeting process. 

  • Monthly, quarterly, yearly financial reporting and financial forecasting including pro forma modeling for new business opportunities.

  • Reconcile and settle investment, SWAP, or Brokered deposit transactions.

  • Assists the VP- Finance and SVP-Director of Finance with Interest Rate Risk reporting and management.

  • Posts entries to accounting systems related to the Treasury Management function.  Interacts with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.

  • Update core system index rates.

  • Provides support for financial audits as required.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • College degree or equivalent preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years in Finance, Accounting or applicable fields.

  • Strong Excel and database skills related to financial management systems.

  • Ability to quickly learn stringent reporting requirements for Investor Accounting.

  • Ability to quickly solve problems and create solutions based on set parameters.

  • Detail oriented with a focus on financial presentation.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong time management with an emphasis on meeting tight deadline requirements.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office Products and have the ability to learn other programs.
