Whether it’s in our manufacturing and assembly plant, our call center, or in our retail locations on government facilities nationwide, we provide quality employment for people who are legally blind. We are now seeking a talented and efficient Staff Accountant to join our team and our mission.

The Staff Accountant provides support to the Controller in fulfilling the responsibilities of the finance department while being responsible for the biweekly administration of payroll. This position will complete various business unit reports in addition to preparing financial reports and materials for annual audits. The position will also be a back-up to accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.

We Require:

•  Minimum of bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance, CPA is a plus.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting.
• Minimum of 1 year of cost accounting experience regarding manufacturing inventory.
• Familiarity with multiple payment methods (check, ACH, wire transfer, etc.).
• Strong computer literacy and keyboarding accuracy.
• Knowledge and experience with ERP and hosted payroll processing systems (NetSuite and Paycom a plus).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to monitor,collect, and analyze data to ensure compliance with applicable standards (i.e. GAAP), rules, regulations and systems of internal control. Ability to accurately interpret and evaluate results, and to create financial reports, documentation, and presentations of findings.
• High level of interpersonal skills with demonstrated poise, tact, confidentiality, and diplomacy.
