Qualifications
We are seeking a national partnership and fundraising director who will oversee the strategic and creative fundraising efforts with Saprea’s national revenue partners including individual giving, foundation support, corporate sponsorships, and special events. This includes finding, securing, and closing strategic revenue partners. Working closely with the organization's leadership, the director will bring in major gifts from across the country and focus on expanding Saprea’s network of donors, with a focus on building a pipeline to support Saprea’s growing programs through partnerships. Educational/Professional Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 10+ years in fundraising development from multiple revenue channels
Experience Requirements
- Proven track record of successful fundraising
- Active fundraising portfolio with contacts ready for cultivation
- Demonstrated track record of fundraising at minimum $500,000 a year
- Sensitivity to the issue of child sexual abuse
- Highly developed ability to collaborate with internal and external groups including other Saprea departments, community partners, and donors
- Proven track record in long-term relationship building to form deep donor relationships
- Experience with donor and portfolio management
- Superb skill with written and oral communication
- Keen ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and stay organized
- Success in accomplishing front-line fundraising with a proven ability to identify, engage, solicit and close individual major donors independently
- Proven track record of compelling storytelling in support of mission priorities
Responsibilities
- Identify, approach, and nurture donors in local communities that will move Saprea’s mission forward to liberate individuals and society from child sexual abuse and its lasting impacts
- Cultivate partnerships that will help fund and deliver Saprea services in communities outside of Utah
- Develop personalized outreach and engagement strategies that incentivize partners to join Saprea’s mission
- Solicit and closes major gifts from a variety of donor types; i.e., corporations, foundations, and individuals
- Understand Saprea initiatives and connect donors and decision makers through storytelling to join us in the fight against child sexual abuse
- Provide accurate and timely reporting for the executive team, department managers, and the Board of Directors about national fundraising efforts
- Record and track ever growing network of partners and donors through Saprea’s CRM
- Willing to travel to nurture donor relationships. We estimate travel could be approximately 50% of their time.
