Position Overview:
The Receiving and Inventory Specialist role at Lightspeed ensures smooth workflow that is steady and consistent. They provide day-to-day support to the production team, assisting with issues as they arise, keeping product where it needs to be and maintaining warehouse layout. This role provides inventory knowledge at a detailed level, that contributes greatly to successful operations in the warehouse.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Receive deliveries, unload and store items
- Work directly with Purchasing for packaging ordering
- Receive inventory purchase orders and communicate inventory using Landed Cost process
- Verify PO vs actual parts for receipts, resolve PO issues
- Process supplier and customer returns for rework and updates
- Serve as the Primary point of contact for receiving
- Put away inventory (label and stock)
- Manage First in First Out process
- Quality check incoming products
- Perform cosmetic inspection of used equipment and test used accessories
- Maintain warehouse layout map
- Create basic transactions in ERP (Assembly Builds, Work Orders, Request for inventory adjustments)
- Perform Cycle Count investigations
- Move and transfer parts to NCM
- Maintain cycle count Master Spreadsheet
- Investigate material transaction issues
- Organize and store used/refurbished product in inventory
- Manage & document receiving and inventory processes, lead process improvement
