Function:
The Lead Lighting Technician is responsible for overseeing the setup and operation of professional lighting systems for events of all sizes and types, delivering exceptional service to our clients. As a subject matter expert, the Lead Lighting Technician also mentors team members both in the shop and on-site during events. Additionally, they uphold the highest professional standards and represent Clearwing as a leader in the live entertainment production industry. Pay range starts at $100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and Implement Advanced Lighting Systems while working closely with Engineering, Operations, Account Executives, and clients to ensure shows success.
- Develop lighting layout specifications, create gear lists, and communicate inventory discrepancies.
- Collaborate with Engineering on show advance information for projects, plots, patch, signal flow, load weights, electrical calculations etc.
- Perform on-site rigging in relation to lighting systems and can identify compromised rigging pieces
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and network problems and can assist clients/other technicians via phone, email, or in person effectively.
- Calculates power consumption for systems, sets up generators, and understands 3-phase power.
- Oversee and assemble professional lighting systems.
- Setup and maintain lighting network systems.
- Operate as an L1, L2.
- Lead a large crew and understand union/house rules.
- Able to set up and use a fall arrest system.
- Run/Busk a large show on Clearwing's console inventory.
- Fosters a supportive learning environment to ensure that team members achieve their professional goals.
- Â Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and network problems and can assist clients/other technicians via phone, email, or in person effectively.
- Attend project meetings as needed. Â
