Summer Internship

Job Details

12Stone Church - Lawrenceville, GA

Description

The 12Stone Church Summer Internship is a 10-week immersive ministry experience designed to give each participant hands on ministry ownership as well as personal coaching and development.  This is an unpaid summer internship.

Each intern will engage in these 4 core developmental elements:

1.    Ministry Experience – There is no better way to grow passion for the local church than to experience the work needed to serve and grow the church.
•    Each intern will gain real ministry experience and ownership over the course of their 10 weeks.
•    All interns will participate in weekly ministry execution on both Wednesdays (student ministry) and Sundays (kid’s ministry and spiritual formation)
•     Interns will assist in the planning, leading, and execution of CAMP, which is our summer student ministry conference.
•     Interns will also be involved in Kids Camp, a three-night local campus experience for kids in first through fifth grade.

2.    Developmental Coaching – While ministry experience and skill development is critical to effectively lead in the church, the groundwork to deepen character and grow in a relationship with Jesus is essential for a lifetime of service and calling to the Kingdom.
•    Each intern will regularly engage in one-on-ones with a 12Stone pastor who will serve as their coach in beginning the journey toward a lifetime of impact serving the local church.

3.    Pastoral Leadership - The Pastoral Leadership Curriculum gives valuable insight into different types of pastoral leadership.
•    This is unpacked during a weekly training meeting and gives valuable insight into different types of pastoral leadership.
•    The curriculum covers Self Leadership, Relational Leadership and Organizational Leadership.

4.    Thriving Church Culture - Being part of a healthy culture is contagious.
•    Interns benefit greatly from being invited into a staff and church culture that is thriving and healthy. Within this context, they pick up nuances and attitudes that separate winning teams from other teams.
