These are seasonal, part-time positions with varying hours to include evenings, weekends and holidays.

Minimum Training & Experience:
Valid Driver's License (required for some positions)
Essential Job Functions:
Types of duties include but are not limited to the following:

Provides assistance and support to parks and facility daily operations including but not exclusive to safety, programs, concessions, admissions, or special events as needed to meet the goals of the department.

Assists and/or is responsible for opening and closing of parks and facilities.

Completes daily reports, work requests, and incident reports as required.
-
Observes safety rules to maintain safe parks and facilities.
-
Possess money handling skills in order to successfully and accurately process cash and card transactions.

Operation of food preparation equipment and knowledge of standards and protocols for food safety.
-
Maintains a clean work environment and proper procedures.
-
Performs various manual tasks in the maintenance of assigned recreational facilities, grounds and equipment.
-
Drags and lines softball and baseball fields; rakes and level batters’ boxes and bases.

Performs general grounds keeping duties, including but not limited to mowing and aerating turf, cutting, and installing sod, edging, removing weeds, cleaning debris from and cleaning pavement, spreading mulch, raking, watering removing trash and debris from grounds, etc.

Participates in cross-training opportunities and performs all other duties as may be assigned to meet organizational needs.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to work nights and weekends.

Ability to take concession orders and enter into register system.

Ability to assist with custodial duties and minor maintenance needs.

Ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions. Must be adaptable to performing under stress when confronted with emergency situations or tight deadlines.

Ability to maintain positive customer-focused relationships with co-workers, supervisors, agencies, the general public, and all other internal and external customers.

Personally demonstrates appropriate customer service skills.

Work is performed on-site the incumbent must be present at work to perform the essential functions of this job.
