Job Purpose/Objectives
The primary function of the Outside Packer is to package tubs, bags, trays, and any other finished product into the correct boxes for storage and shipping. They assemble various sized boxes and store for use to ensure continuous flow of product. The responsibility also includes counting and recording the quantity of each product, labeling as appropriate and reporting to their supervisor. They will also be responsible for checking the quality of finished products they are packaging and reporting any issues including broken seals on bags and trays including damaged tubs.

Essential Job Functions:Â Â Â Â
- Pack products in appropriate boxes coming from the outbound conveyors, palletize, and label.
- Ensure product flow, and supply of needed boxes. Ensure the products are transferred in a timely fashion, out of the packaging area, and do not back up or become cluttered.
- Maintain organization and documentation of production department finished product areas, as well as packaging materials.
- Check the quality of the product and alert supervisors to see if quality problems exist.

• Requires repeated stooping and bending.Â
• Frequent lifting and carrying boxed/bagged fruits and vegetables.
• Requires continuous standing for extended periods of time.
• Requires lifting up to 60 lbs. continuously throughout the shift.
