Brillient Corporation is seeking a talented and driven mid-level Project Control Analyst to join our growing Finance Team. This position requires 5-7 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or a related field. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, self-starter with a strong background in data analysis, financial modeling, and hands-on experience with Unanet GovCon software for project setup and management. This role focuses on financial reporting, forecasting/budgeting, project analysis, and funds management. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take their expertise to the next level. Ability to work on site in Reston, VA is required.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis: Perform comprehensive analysis on a range of financial, operational, and funding-related data sets.
- Financial Modeling: Build and maintain financial models to support financial planning and decision-making processes.
- Forecasting and Budgeting: Assist in preparing forecasts and budgets, identifying risks and opportunities to help achieve company financial objectives.
- Project Setup and Management: Set up new projects based on signed contractual agreements, including personnel assignments, labor category management, and funds management. Monitor project costs from various sources like timesheets, expense reports, subcontracts, vendor invoices, and purchase orders.
- Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data, implementing quality control measures to prevent errors.
- Reporting: Create and deliver recurring and ad-hoc reports for management, presenting findings and recommendations clearly. Develop interactive visualizations to effectively communicate data-driven insights.
- Operational Insights: Stay current on project updates such as hires, purchases, and funding changes that may impact forecasts.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams including Accounting, Operations, and Contracts to gather information, provide support, and resolve project-related challenges.
