Education and/or Experience
- Must be high school graduate or equivalent.
- Must be licensed airframe and powerplant (A&P) mechanic.
- Must have knowledge of aviation regulations and procedures.
- Must be mechanically inclined with experience in using small hand tools.
- Prefer technical knowledge of flight and UAV devices.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills are necessary.
- Prefer professional, academic, or personal experience in drone technology.
- Prefer FAA Part 107 license.
Essential Skills:

- Must have good interpersonal skills with the ability to interface cooperatively with departmental team members and clients.
- Needs strong safety and work ethics and be able to recognize the importance of properly handling hazardous materials, chemicals, tools, etc.
- Must have proficient computer skills and other relevant computer application skills related to UAV technology.
- Must be able to work in rugged terrains and in all types of weather conditions.
- Show strong interest in aviation.
- Show strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical assembly instructions.
- Needs the ability to think in 3D.
- Must have strong concentration skills.
- Needs the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Working Conditions
Must be physically fit to walk for extensive periods of time. Individuals may need to reach over shoulder heights; bend or stoop below the waist; perform repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
