UCT is a world leading specialty chemical manufacturing company with products that serve the environmental, forensics, food and beverage, clinical, pharma, biopharma, and cannabis industries.

The Customer Service Representative greets visitors, answers phones, supports internal staff and customers by providing helpful information, answering questions, and forward issues to the correct department.  The Customer Service Representative is our front-line support for our customers and they help to ensure that our customers are satisfied with products and services. 

Hourly rate depends on experience and will range from $18.00 to $23.00, rate will be negotiable. Knowledge of Sage CRM is a HUGE PLUS.

  • Order Entry – Process orders in a timely fashion; commit available inventory; accordingly, check status of order with department leads; communicate order status to customer and/or sales representative; release monthly standing orders.
  • Inquires – Respond to customer inquiries and problems, by providing information or directing requests to others who can supply the necessary information or service; handle the customer complaints associated with different services and product related issues.
  • Pricing – Obtain lead times and pricing from business manager; communicate pricing and availability to customers; work with Sales Representative on pricing; obtain freight estimates and any special packaging information.
  • Support – Generate Proforma invoices and international shipping papers; work with Accounting Department for credit holds and releases; work with technical service for technical information, assisting with chemical information, product identification when no item number is provided; work with QC to obtain CofA, CofC’s.
  • Administrative – Set up new account and maintain existing accounts; submit requests to verify inventory levels; responsible for matching up shipping papers and making copies of each; filing paperwork.

 

Qualifications

Education and Experience :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-2 years in customer service preferably in a manufacturing environment.
