SUMMARY
The Avionics Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting electronic systems used in aircraft, spacecraft, and related systems. This role ensures the safe and efficient operation of communication, navigation, and flight control systems through technical expertise, system integration, and compliance with aerospace regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Design and develop avionics systems, including communication, navigation, radar, and flight control systems.
- Conduct system integration, troubleshooting, and validation for new and modified aircraft.
- Generate detailed technical drawings, specifications, and system documentation.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., FAA, EASA, MIL-STD).
- Participate in system testing, verification, and certification activities.
- Support production, testing, and maintenance teams with technical expertise.
- Review and interpret customer specifications and translate them into engineering requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including software, mechanical, and electrical engineers.
- Assist with failure analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Stay updated with emerging avionics technologies and industry best practices.
