Lifting and assisting of members 25 -50 pounds on a repetitive basis as required. Some deliveries may require carrying product up multiple flights of stairs. This position requires extended periods of sitting and standing. Operation of van may average 8 to 12 hours per day.
High school Diploma or Equivalent
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 1 to 3 years driver experience, preferably in route deliveries
- Must enjoy working with the elderly
- Must have and maintain a satisfactory driving record
- Must poses a Class E license
- Experience with on-board computers, paperless DOT logs and/or electronic capture applications preferred
- English/Spanish preferred
- Days of work and hours are subject to change based on departmental and/or organizational needs.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
