Description

Position Summary: Assist Facilities Director in control systems management while maintaining existing assets to the highest aesthetic and performance standards. Ensures a uniform and consistent product delivery at various locations. Communicates directly with internal departments, as well as vendors concerning project needs. Provides guidance in a variety of facility field concepts, practices, and procedures.
 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist Facilities Director to achieve a high level of service, detail, and performance standards with a focus in control systems management in a commercial grade building environment
  • Manage, coordinate, and perform all control aspects of indoor/outdoor maintenance and service on control and HVAC systems
  • Oversee current facility-related systems to a higher level of operational ease and sophistication by integration with new technology processes. This includes design, implementation, and ongoing support
  • Manage complex control system operations of indoor/outdoor maintenance at designated local and/or remote locations
  • Continual education of current control system practices (materials, assemblies, installation processes, pricing etc.)
  • Oversee, make recommendations, and provide direction to all involved parties regarding budget preparation, program changes, goal establishments and short/long range planning on assigned projects
  • Oversee contractor process; proposals, project/plan design, project work/completion, relationship management, safety, etc.
  • Understand and prepare technical control documentation needed for all facility projects
  • Ensure quality issues are identified and reported to the appropriate department and are rectified
  • Facilitate building system upgrades which may include design, programming, testing, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and repair
  • Advise the Facilities Director regarding budget preparation, program changes, goal establishments, and short/long-range planning
  • Participate in an on-call rotation that requires immediate response to facility related needs
  • Provide mentoring to other team members in regards to control systems when necessary
  • Adhere to and ensure compliance with all relevant OSHA safety regulations for all facility personnel

Essential skills and experience:

  • College degree preferred; specialized training, or licensing required
  • Excellent knowledge of control systems, HVAC, MEP, hydraulic, and other equipment associated with commercial grade buildings
  • Excellent understanding of building control systems; HVAC, MEP, hydraulic, pool, and other equipment
  • Intermediate knowledge of engineering, control system design concepts and design software
  • Advanced problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent computer skills and Android proficiency
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; positive attitude
  • Good time management skills; ability to organize and manage multiple projects with available resources
  • Ability to maintain a high level of strict confidentiality and professionalism
  • Possess a valid drivers license with a good driving record
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; positive attitude
  • Excellent knowledge of general office procedures; as well as intermediate knowledge smart phone and computer skills
  • Excellent time management skills; ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects with available resources
  • Keen attention to detail, honesty, adaptability, dependability, and a willingness to do hands-on work
  • Ability to maintain a high level of strict confidentiality and professionalism
  • Possess a valid drivers license with a good driving record
