Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – PRN/Per Diem


A leading senior living community is seeking compassionate and reliable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide high-quality care on a PRN/per diem basis. This role is essential to supporting residents with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Ideal candidates are flexible, detail-oriented, and dedicated to resident-centered care.


Position Overview
The CNA is responsible for assisting residents with personal care needs, supporting daily routines, and ensuring a safe, clean, and engaging environment. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to observe and report changes in resident status, and adherence to health and safety protocols. Candidates must be certified in Oklahoma and able to work in a fast-paced assisted living setting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, and mobility

  • Assist with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) including housekeeping, laundry, meal service, mail delivery, and resident escorting

  • Monitor and report changes in physical, cognitive, or emotional conditions

  • Conduct regular resident checks and rounds; report any incidents or hazards promptly

  • Support dining services by helping residents to and from meals, serving food, and assisting with feeding

  • Maintain cleanliness of resident care equipment and order necessary supplies

  • Participate in staff meetings, in-service training, and assigned committees

  • Assist and lead activities to promote engagement and wellness

  • Document care and services in electronic health records (EHR)

  • Comply with infection control, health, and safety procedures

  • Perform additional duties as assigned


Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Work is performed in an assisted living environment with exposure to bodily fluids, chemicals, and infectious diseases

  • Requires regular lifting, pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs, and frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching

  • May involve use of adaptive equipment and hand tools

  • Frequent interaction with residents, families, and care team in a collaborative setting


Schedule & Pay (Optional)

  • PRN/Per Diem scheduling with flexible shift availability

  • Competitive hourly rates, paid orientation, and weekly pay available through the agency

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Current Oklahoma CNA certification required

  • First Aid certification as required by state regulations

  • Successful completion of background check, TB/CXR screening, and health clearance per state guidelines

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based care model
