* Position may be based out of Tampa FL, Sarasota FL or Denver (Charlotte) NC
The Lifestyle Systems Engineer finalizes the solutions, technologies and products that are required to meet customers' needs. This role provides final design details, guidance to the System Designer for proper/relevant drawings and then briefs the appropriate project handoff, overview and intentions to the assigned Project Manager and Lead Technician. 
 

When applicable, accompanies salesperson in performing site visit and detailed needs analysis with the customer after the project is awarded.
Assist the salesperson and Project Manager in constructing final engineering and noting the system capabilities and limitations based on customer’s stated objectives.
Develop and provide Project Manager with complete system engineering. This design will include detailed lighting loads, panel schedules, keypad engraving layouts, power calculations/distribution detail. All documents saved to SharePoint client folder. Projects are estimated when quoted, and fully engineered upon award.
Confirm proper labor estimates based on site conditions, scope of work, and finalized engineering.
Provide detailed technical design, bid/service contract pricing, miscellaneous material and labor estimates for proposals as needed for Operations.
Once project is won, Lifestyle Systems Engineer will approve the rough signal flow diagram and construction schematics.
Review final proposal with Operations post award processing.
Coordinates documentation for any changes to the proposal based on site conditions and follow-up conversations with Project Manager.
Meet with vendors/prospective vendors to help evaluate product if requested.
Able to make alternate product recommendation if a problem arises
Stay current on new technology trends
Understand our product portfolio 
Provide feedback to pre-sales design group

Qualifications

Minimum of 5+ years of system design knowledge
Extensive knowledge of Control4 or other control and switching system applications
Knowledge of AV and Architectural drawings
Knowledge of network infrastructure
Strong understanding of relays and contacts
Solid understanding of centralized panel lighting
Ability to read construction drawings and system wiring diagrams
Strong understanding of Shading systems/installation 
Ability to diagnose complex system problems
Ability to demonstrate effectiveness in working in a team setting, communicating with others, and customer satisfaction
Ability to produce and coordinate proposal and design documents on large and small scale projects
Proficiency in Visio, DTools or similar programs
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
