SUMMARY:

This individual will organize and manage digital math models of all vehicles for design and confirm the quality and completeness of these digital math models for use in confirming engineering design intent.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Function as the gate keeper for all data for both internal and external customers.
  • Receive incoming internal and customer data, perform necessary translations, organize & rename files, manage master files/data, and maintain file management system.
  • Assist in resolving internal and customer data issues
  • Lead the data management process to define product and file structure.
  • Establish and maintain the library of models, customer preferences, Prefix knowledge sheets, and design how to information for continuous improvement and development
  • Contribute to the process of defining Engineering and CAD standards for modeling methodologies, data quality, data release and all associated specification change management
  • Perform CAD administration duties; assist in the development, implementation, and administration of CAD standards, flow charts, and Standard Operating Procedures to document work processes; track project initiation, updates, and completion; assist in the development of change management policies and procedures.
  • Support Business Development team in quoting activities
  • Assist in any task assigned or approved by the Prefix Management Team. Tasks will be assigned according to employee availability and individual talents.    

Qualifications

Applicant should have data management experience (minimum of 3 years) in both NX and CATIA, with a strong understanding of assembly file structure. Solid/surface modeling experience preferred in NX.  Strong understanding of manufacturing process and automotive design and standards. Ability to follow direction and work within predetermined timelines established within the project quote.  Needs to be a self-starter with proficiency in budgeting time.  Strong communication skills valued.
