Description

Team Management:

  • In conjunction with the Fabrication Manager; sets priorities, manpower activities and build schedules for your respective team, ensuring timing goals are met. Holds team accountable for meeting quality objectives, functional performance, techniques, timing, budget, etc.
  • In coordination with the Fabrication Manager; maintain, direct, and schedule daily project communication meetings within the studio’s.
  • Consistently updates and follows up on continuous improvement initiatives for the department or processes on existing and future programs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment on the floor, in the build studios and office areas.
  • Employee training execution.
  • Develop, guide and coach employees. Ensure all are working in a safe, organized work environment and adhering to company policies.
  • Maintains professional interactions with direct reports, other departments, management, vendors, and customers, etc. 
  • Program Execution:

  • Attends daily or weekly staff meetings to receive and report out on department tasks or program status.
  • Communicates program status to Program Manager - escalates any cost, timing, quality or risk issues deemed necessary.
  • Constant floor Supervision to ensure that all processes and standard operating procedures are being followed for each program. Minimum of 90% of your time each day.
  • Maintain inventory and order all supplies associated with projects while following processes in regards to required materials.
  • Complete final inspection of parts for quality and MRP accuracy before delivery to subsequent departments and/or customer.
  • Report back if assistance is needed to maintain or organize specific areas out of their responsibility.
  • Crib materials distribution and material usage oversight. Tool ordering sign out and tracking.
  • Maintain MRP status for the department daily.
  • Quote/Customer Management:

  • Participates in client open issues reviews, when needed.
  • Provides accurate estimates for hourly requirements, material costs, etc., and project assumptions for quoting purposes.
  • Program Execution:
